ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: LYNDSAY ROARK 


 Lyndsay is a Performing Arts Professional originally from Southern California. She began dancing at the age of three and quickly fell in love with the stage, lights and performing. She is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of training and 13 years of teaching experience. She is fully trained in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz,  Acrobatics, Tap and Musical Theater (Specializing in Vocals and Piano).  As a young dancer she became interested in several areas of movement and also pursued her talents in gymnastics. As a young 6 year old she became a competitive gymnast. She accomplished several levels in gymnastics and by the age of 13 she was competing as a State Champion on the Balance Beam. At the age of 14 she was chosen as the only Freshman to join her High School Varsity Song/Dance Team for National's in Florida.  Following two years later she helped lead her team as National Champions of 1994.  Her training includes that of Johnson's School of Ballet, Jimmy Defore's Academy of Dance, New Hope Gymnastics Academy, Miss America Association (Lyndsay was chosen as a City Level Princess/Spokesperson for Youth Mentorship in Schools at the age of 21), Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, Actors Workshop, LA, PULSE ON TOUR including intensive training with world Renound Choreographer's from SYTYCD such as:  MIA MICHAELS , WADE ROBSON, CRIS JUDD, BRIAN FRIEDMEN, TYCE DIORIO, and more. She has also been hired to Choreograph for several local teams and organizations to provide choreography/theater and stage direction.  Her latest industry professional work can be found in the Motion Picture Film, THE PRANKSTER, (courtesy of PRANKSTER ENTERTAINMENT, INC).  As a mother to two wonderful children she understands  the quality of care parents are looking for in a teacher/school. Her goal is to help her dancers find out who they are as a dancer/performer and to build a solid/positive foundation to stem from on their future endeavors.  

 



Christina Leslie-  JUNIOR ELITE INSTRUCTOR 

Christina "Tina" is one of our newest instructors that has joined the REA family of instructors. She was a very influential part of our 2009-2010 dance team and took time to finish her teaching internship alongside Lyndsay Roark and Kacie Lesky. She is a classical trained ballerina and has been performed in several Nutcrakcer's in Sonoma County. Tina also has performance experience in Hip Hop and has been very successful with our Mini Hip Hop dancers. She is enjoying working with our Petite Elite program and building a strong foundation of Rhythms Elite dancers. 











Danielle Hamilton-  HIP HOP INSTRUCTOR 
   

Danielle began pursuing her love for dance at the tender age of 3, under the direction of Darlene Easterling-Castro. (Artistic director of Teen Dance Co.)

By the age of 6 she was dancing all over the state winning top prizes in the most challenging of competitions, such as Broadway Bound where she won Best Overall Dancer at the National level.  Danielle has excelled in many dance styles including tap, ballet, modern, jazz/contemporary, hip-hop, and breaking.  Moving to the North Bay afforded her the opportunity to study with famous dancers like Danny Wallace (NYCDA staff and former Tap Dog) and Gary “Gee” Kendall (original Jabowockeez choreographer) She was an original DC Tribe crew member who did an excellent job on the competition circuit placing high gold’s and was chosen as Best Overall Well Rounded dancer at Urban Jamm.

Danielle danced in jazz, tap, and hip-hop companies as well at the Dance Center where she continues to teach.  The high school years were even more successful landing numerous 1st and 2nd place awards and attending conventions/workshops such as NYCDA, Urban Jamm, and Boulder Dance Workshop. Represented the USA in Jeju, South Korea at their annual Fire Festival. After graduating she moved to LA to work with top choreographers in the area. She was immediately picked up by the DDO Agency in LA in 2004. 

 

Her professional career flourished a year later when she moved to San Francisco. Sharing responsibly as co-director of “Shadow Optix” she performed at venues such as SF Hip Hop Dancefest. In 2009, she joined “InnerActions” crew, a professional hip-hop company dedicated to bringing the message of “Prevention

DERELEEK AND FLEX FLAV - Come to us from the a local favorite North Bay Crew Supreme Soul (Featured on America's Best Dance Crew). Dereleek and Flex Flav bring an element of breakin and street dance styles that are unique to hip hop. Our students enjoy several workshops during the year to improve there knowledge of hip hop and to strengthen their acrobatic abilities. It is an honor to have them a part of the REA team. 






*Karen Wendling--Guest Star Choreographer. Karen is a former Los Angeles Laker and Clipper Girl. She has several years of experience in the industry of performance dance and cheer. Some of her highlight include: Las Vegas Nevada Shows such as , Rain; Treasure Island;and Celine Dion's Las Vegas tour as a back up dancer. She has studied at UNLV and completed her BS degree in Communications. She has been seen on several t.v programs such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer WB channel, and NFL LIVE, and has toured Japan as a SONY PICTURES DANCER. She was also placed with the well known DDO (Dance Agency in Hollywood) at 21 and was able to learn much about the dance industry and how to make it. We are thrilled to have her talents at Rhythms Elite.
